Drama Association of Rossmoor (DAOR) is engaged in a love affair with theater and all of its aspects: writing, acting, directing, gathering props, creating sets and costumes, engineering light and sound, reading plays, and, of course, as members of the audience.
We enjoy classes and workshops, social events, and free and discounted tickets for local performances. We present the Jean Wilcox Scholarship award to young actors. We nurture our members' works-in-progress and hone our skills in productions of old favorites and avant garde provocateurs.
We agree with Thornton Wilder, who regarded theater "as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being."
