Acting Class
How to Build a Character
Informal Performance of Seven Short Scenes
Instructor: Cynthia Wilson
At 1:00 P.M., March 11 in the Performing Arts Studio at the Hillside.
All friends and family of the actors are welcome to attend.
The students have been introduced to the precepts of Method Acting and have attempted to create characters that are believable and authentic. Please come be witnesses to their efforts. You will see scenes from The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Clean House, Buried Child, Grand Horizons, August: Osage County, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. The focus of this class is not the performance, but for the actor to gain tools to know how to become someone else with inner and outer honesty. Please come see how they have harvested the truth and they will present it to you at their level of learning and watch their beginning of mastery.
